Gagan Narang

Gagan Narang has made India proud by winning the first Olympic medal for the country in 2012.

Won many world cups, world championships, commonwealth games, Asian and Nationals, He participated in 10mts Air Rifle, 50 mts Rifle Prone Participated in last Olympics . He was the first Indian to qualify for the London Olympics. He won the Bronze Medal in the Men's 10 m Air Rifle Event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with a final score of 701.1 on 30 July 2012.

Gagan Narang is a gold medalist in the Afro Asian games, 2003 in Hyderabad on 26 October 2003 in Men's 10m air rifle competition. He had won an air rifle gold medal at the World Cup 2006 and followed that event in April 2010.

In a pre-Olympic event in Hannover, Germany, Gagan shot a panis air rifle score higher than the world record, 704.3 as opposed to 703.1 set by Thomas Farnik of Austria in the World Cup 2006. Gagan qualified for the 2008 ISSF World Cup Final after he won a gold in the World Cup in China earlier in 2008. Gagan shot a perfect 600 in the qualification round. He scored 103.5 in the final round making total score of 703.5 to gain the universe record. On 4 November 2008 he broke Austria's Thomas Farnik's record, set in the 2006 World Cup final in Granada, Spain. Gagan Narang added 4 gold medals to the Indian tally at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. In the Men's 10 m air rifle singles event, he shot a perfect 600 which was a new record. Gagan also clinched a silver medal in his pet event at the Asian Games 2010. He also combined with Abhinav Bindra and Sanjeev Rajput to provide the country with another silver medal, in the team event behind champions China. Both of his silvers were won on the opening day of Asian Games.

In 2014 Commonwealth games held at Glasgow UK he won silver medal in Men’s 50mts Rifle Prone event and won Bronze medal in Men’s 50mts Rifle 3 Positions event.

    Awards & Recognitions

In recognition with his achievements, Gagan Narang was conferred with the Padma Shree Award in 2010. Gagan Narang was selected for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for 2010. This is the highest sports award in the country. He was conferred the award by then president Pratibha Patil on 29 August 2011. Also Gagan Narang was invited by the organisers of the Indian Grand Prix to wave the chequered flag in the 2012 Indian Grand Prix.

Kynan Chenai

Kynan took up the sport of shotgun p shooting in 2003. It was around this time that Hyderabad hosted the "32nd National Games" and an international class trap shooting range was built for the games. This became accessible to aspiring shooters from Hyderabad.

Achievements

Won gold medal at 50th National Shooting Championships held at Jaipur, in Men's Trap Shooting in 2007. Won silver medal at Asian Clay Championships 2008, Jaipur, in Junior Men's category of Trap Shooting event. Finished 4th at Fifth Grand Prix International 2008, Porpetto, Italy in the Men’s Trap Shooting Junior event.

Won Gold at Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 were hosted, Pune, India in Men’s Trap Shooting event.

Won Gold at 51st National Shooting Championships 2009, Jaipur in the Junior Men's Trap Shooting event. Finished 15th in ISSF Shotgun World Championships 2009, in Men’s Junior p event.

Asher Noria

Asher Noria represented Andhra Pradesh in national level competitions winning several medals. From 2007 onwards, he started winning medals for India in international competitions. He entered into the national scenario with Cyprus World Championships where he finished sixth.

Achievements

in 2008, he won gold at Singapore Open which was his first gold medal in an international event and in the same year he won gold medal at Commonwealth Youth Games where he bettered the national record set by Rajyavardhan Singh rathore.

Noria won the gold medal at the 2009 international junior world cup shooting championship.

Won the gold medal at World Championships in Munich in Junior Double Trap event, he also created a new national record in the junior category in 2010. Won silver medal at 2010 commonwealth games in the Men's Double p team event.

Amit Sanghi

Amit Sanghi won medals at International competition and present 1st Indian to hold international record by 120/125 in Belgrade, he participated in Skeet events.

He is a National Champion, Masters Champion, National Games Champion and National record holder.

Rashmee rathore

Won bronze a in the Women's Skeet Competition held at Tughlaqabad. Won gold medal in Women’s Skeet at the Indian National Shotgun Shooting Championship.

She won Silver medal at the Commonwealth Shooting championships, Feb 2010. After winning silver at the Commonwealth Shooting championships in, she was picked for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Darius Chenai

Darius Chenai is one of the veterans of shooting sport in India. He became champion amongst senior Trap shooters at the National Shooting Championships in Jaipur.

Shreyan Kapoor

Won gold medal in junior team event at National shotgun shooting championships held at Delhi, being teamed with Abhinav Reddy and Youhan Noria.

Gusti Noria

Gusti Noria represented India in skeet shooting in Cyro and got a National team medal in Gauhati.

Won gold in men’s team event in the Skeet event, at National Shotgun Shooting Championships.
